Ascend scans your face with AI, scores your skin across clarity, texture, brightness and tone, then builds a personalized 30-day glow protocol. Your photos never leave your device's sandbox.
Sample scan output — your actual scores update with every weekly re-scan.
Ascend gives you the honest read on your skin and a routine that actually responds to it.
A single scan scores your skin across clarity, texture, brightness, tone and feature areas — powered by Anthropic's Claude vision models.
Personalized daily routine generated from your scan results, skin type, goals and current routine level.
Track progress over time with side-by-side comparisons. See which categories are improving and where to focus next.
Scans never touch our servers. Images live in your app sandbox and are sent only to Anthropic for analysis, never retained.
Tell Ascend your age range, skin type, goals, current routine and the areas you want to improve. Takes under two minutes.
Capture a few guided photos. Ascend securely sends them to Anthropic's Claude API for analysis and returns category scores in seconds.
A personalized daily routine built around your scores and goals — with weekly re-scans to track what's actually working.
Each scan returns category scores so you can see exactly where your routine is moving the needle.

Ascend doesn't keep a database of your photos. Scans live in your app sandbox and are sent over HTTPS to Anthropic's Claude API only during analysis. Anthropic does not retain or train on your images. Delete the app and everything goes with it.
No. Ascend is a cosmetic analysis tool — it gives you appearance-based feedback and routine suggestions, not medical advice. For dermatological concerns, see a licensed professional.
Photos are stored in your iOS app sandbox, not in your camera roll. They're sent over HTTPS to Anthropic's Claude API for analysis only when you scan, and are not retained for training or storage.
Ascend scores are based on visible signals in your photos under reasonable lighting. It's a directional tool to help you focus your routine — not a clinical measurement.

Make sure you're in a well-lit area, the camera permission is granted in iOS Settings → Ascend, and you're holding the phone steady at the prompted distance. Force-close and reopen the app if the camera preview is stuck.
Scores are sensitive to lighting and angle. Re-scan in natural daylight facing a window, without makeup or filters, and avoid strong overhead light. Compare scans taken under similar conditions for the most accurate progress tracking.
